Rows of quartzite and granite slabs in our Chattanooga slab yard

Materials

A stone for every vision.

Walk our slab yard and choose the exact piece that will become your countertop.

01

Granite

Formed from cooled magma, granite is extremely durable, heat-resistant and endlessly varied in color and pattern. A classic, long-lasting choice for busy kitchens.

02

Marble

Prized for its soft veining and luminous depth. Marble is softer and more porous, developing a natural patina — ideal for vanities, fireplaces and baking stations.

03

Quartzite

A natural metamorphic stone formed when sandstone is fused under heat and pressure. It offers the look of marble with hardness that rivals granite.

04

Quartz / Engineered Stone

Made from ground quartz bound with resin for a consistent, non-porous surface that never needs sealing. We fabricate leading brands including Cambria, Cosentino Silestone, Vicostone and Compac.

05

Soapstone

Silky, matte and naturally stain-resistant. Soapstone darkens beautifully with age and is unfazed by heat.

06

Limestone

A soft, warm sedimentary stone with a quiet, honed elegance — beautiful for fireplaces, flooring and low-traffic surfaces.

07

Travertine

Earthy and textured with natural pitting, travertine brings Old-World character to floors, showers and outdoor spaces.

Common question

Quartz vs. Quartzite

Quartz

Engineered

  • About 90% ground quartz bound with resins and pigments
  • Uniform color, non-porous, no sealing needed
  • Less heat-tolerant — always use trivets
  • Best for indoor use

Quartzite

Natural stone

  • Quarried sandstone transformed by heat and pressure
  • Every slab unique, with marble-like veining
  • Very hard and heat-resistant
  • Requires periodic sealing; suitable outdoors
